Welsh Communists join the Cable Street 90 march

Monday 4th October

Cable Street, London

On the 4th of October Welsh Communists joined the Red Block at Cable Street commemorating the 90th anniversary of the battle of Cable Street. The Red Block was formed with discipline and respect to the historical significance of the anniversary. The rally in St George’s Gardens, where the large Cable Street mural is, was well attended. The march celebrated the victory over fascism.

Welsh comrades distributed the Morning Star and the Communist Party newspaper Unity. Communists from Communist Parties in other countries, including China and Bangladesh, handed out water and documented the march.

They shall not pass!
