The 2026 Gwyn Alf Williams lecture will be delivered by Robert Griffiths as part of the 2026 Welsh Communist Party Congress. The title of the lecture is:
Wales and the changing world of imperialism
Robert Griffiths is the former General Secretary of the Communist Party of Britain, a historian and published author of numerous books and pamphlets including:
- Socialism for the Welsh People
- S.O. Davies – a socialist faith

- Driven by ideals – a history of ASLEF
- Granite and Honey
- Gleam of Socialism and Red or White? – The Communists, the working class and the 1926 General Strike.
